The Mount Kailash Parikrama is a focused spiritual trekking tour completing the sacred 52km circumambulation of Mount Kailash. Considered the holiest trek in Asia, crossing the high Dolma La Pass at 5,630m. The parikrama is believed to cleanse all sins of a lifetime.
Arrive in Lhasa. Meet guide, transfer to hotel. Acclimatization rest day. Evening Barkhor walk.
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Prepare for the trek ahead.
Drive to Shigatse via Yamdrok Lake and Karo La Glacier. Visit Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.
Long drive west to Darchen — starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. Pass Pelku Tso Lake.
Day trip to sacred Lake Mansarovar for prayers, puja and holy bath. Return to Darchen.
Begin the sacred circumambulation. Trek through Tarboche and along the Lha Chu River to Dirapuk Monastery with breathtaking north face views of Kailash.
The most sacred and challenging day. Climb to Dolma La Pass (5,630m). Descend to Zuthulpuk Monastery. 8-10 hours trekking.
Final leg of the parikrama returning to Darchen. Completion of the sacred circuit!
Begin return journey. Long drive back east towards Shigatse.
Drive back to Lhasa. Transfer to airport. Tour ends with blessed memories.
